Topps and NCAA Launch March Madness Basketball Card Series

Topps, the renowned trading card company, has teamed up with the NCAA to introduce the highly-anticipated March Madness Basketball Card Series. These exclusive packs, priced at $139.99 each, offer collectors a chance to own a piece of basketball history with guaranteed autograph cards from standout players.

One of the main attractions of this series is the inclusion of notable athletes such as men’s Player of the Year Zach Edey from Purdue and women’s Player of the Year Caitlin Clark. Each pack consists of the coveted autographed card, six base cards, and one parallel card, which is limited in number to 99 or fewer. Fans have until Thursday to purchase these limited edition packs through Topps’ official website, with the added thrill of finding dual autograph cards in every tenth pack.

The collection features a select group of 20 prominent college basketball stars who have agreed to be included in the Bowman U NOW March Madness series. Among the featured men’s players are Reed Sheppard and Rob Dillingham from Kentucky, Tristen Newton and Stephon Castle from UConn, and Kyle Filipowski from Duke. On the women’s side, standout athletes like Cameron Brink from Stanford, Aaliyah Edwards from UConn, and Paige Bueckers from UConn add to the allure of this exclusive series.

Noteworthy dual autographs in the collection include exciting pairings like Caitlin Clark/Zach Edey, Caitlin Clark/Angel Reese, Angel Reese/Hailey Van Lith, and Reed Sheppard/Rob Dillingham. These special cards are sure to be sought after by collectors for their unique and rare combinations.

While Caitlin Clark is a prominent feature in the series, her inclusion will only last until April 1, as she has an exclusive trading card agreement with Panini America beginning after that date. Topps’ collaboration with the NCAA allows for the integration of the iconic March Madness logo and branding in their products, paving the way for future joint ventures between the two entities.

Throughout the season, Topps has released over 120 Bowman U cards via the Topps NOW platform, showcasing the talents of college basketball stars. Among these releases, Caitlin Clark stands out with appearances on 13 different cards, showcasing her popularity and impact in the world of college sports. The inclusion of college players in the traditional Topps Bowman University line for the past two years has enhanced the collector’s experience, bringing the excitement of college sports to trading card enthusiasts worldwide.
