Fanatics Collectibles, in collaboration with Fanatics Live, has introduced a new and exciting initiative called ‘The Ten’. This program aims to shine a spotlight on the top 10 sports cards in the market, while also rewarding collectors for their discoveries. Drawing inspiration from notable lists such as the “Billboard Hot 100” and the FBI’s “Most Wanted”, ‘The Ten’ features a dynamic selection of cards from various sports. Collectors who successfully pull one of these cards on the Fanatics Live app will be awarded an impressive $10,000 in Fanatics Live credit.
‘The Ten’ will showcase a monthly rotation of cards specifically chosen for their popularity and rarity. Examples of these coveted cards include the highly sought-after 2023-24 Bowman Chrome University Bronny James/LeBron James 1/1 dual-auto card, as well as the yet-to-be-pulled 2023 Bowman Chrome Baseball Draft Tom Brady 12/50 inscribed card.
The inaugural list of ‘The Ten’ includes a mix of legendary athletes and rising stars across different sports. Tom Brady and Steph Curry are just a few examples of the well-known athletes featured, alongside up-and-comers like MLB’s Corbin Carroll and Anthony Volpe, and NBA’s Luka Doncic and Chet Holmgren. These cards hail from various reputable brands like Panini, Upper Deck, Topps, and Bowman, ensuring a diverse and high-quality selection.
James Kollar, senior director of marketing at Fanatics Live, expressed the program’s goal of enhancing the collecting experience. Kollar highlighted their commitment to giving back to collectors and the hobby as a whole. ‘The Ten’ aims to foster community engagement, allowing Fanatics Live participants and the broader collecting community to have a say in the monthly card selections. This approach adds an interactive element, ensuring that collectors feel involved in shaping the program.
‘The Ten’ serves another purpose as well – promoting new products and reigniting interest in existing releases with chase cards. By featuring these top cards, Fanatics Live provides dealers and collectors with a platform to showcase their most prized possessions. This, in turn, creates excitement and generates lively discussions within the collecting community.
To further celebrate ‘The Ten’, Fanatics Live plans to feature pack and box breaks, as well as special shows focused on major discoveries and upcoming cards. A dedicated webpage will track the cards and their finders, contributing to the overall narrative and excitement surrounding ‘The Ten’.
While the program may include guest appearances by athletes and the potential for additional prizes, at its core, it focuses on the stories behind the collectors and their remarkable finds. This unique storytelling aspect sets ‘The Ten’ apart from other initiatives in the hobby, adding depth and personal connection to the collecting experience.
Since its debut, Fanatics Live has experienced consistent growth, with an average watch time of 56 minutes. This highlights the platform’s emergence as a community-focused hub for collectors. James Kollar expressed his excitement about ‘The Ten’ and its potential impact on the Fanatics brand as well as the collector community as a whole. With its innovative approach and dedication to rewarding collectors, ‘The Ten’ is set to captivate and engage collectors in an entirely new way.
